I have raised a ticket but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this? At some point yesterday 11th October the "simplified navigation" experience was enabled for our environment despite having this turned off. Meaning all cases agents open are in a new session with the agent productivity sidebar, we think this is clunky and don't want to use it.
According to the page at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/csw-overview there is a console command to turn it off however when running the below code (after the main code):
AppSettingUtility.updateAppSetting('msdyn_MultisessionNavigationImprovements', false);
We just get error "0x8100006b" - "Setting can not be created or updated for non-overridable setting definition." meaning we are now stuck in "simplified navigation"
Hi DanNewton,
Maybe you can refer following link:
Omnichannel for Customer Service – Simplify Navigation | Microsoft Dynamics 365 (neilparkhurst.com)
Update - after speaking to support this was caused by the Wave 2 update enabling simple navigation by default and the way of turning it off having a bug. There is now a new way to disable it called legacy navigation here docs.microsoft.com/.../csw-overview
Hi DanNewton,
Thanks for sharing!
