Is it possible to export data from 2 different environments to the same DB?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to reduce costs and export data from 2 different F&O env. to a single database using BYOD.

Is there a way to set one export with a certain schema name and another with a different one?

For example, have the production env. go out to the "prod" schema, and the test env. to a "test" schema.

Really any help on the matter would be much appreciated!

    Hi Waller,

    From within the BYOD settings on F&O, you can only specify the database server and database name as part of the connection string. You can use different databases on the same Azure SQL server.

    If you want to reduce costs, have you considered exporting the data to Azure Data Lake?  Export to Azure Data Lake overview - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs

    I found a solution;

    Using different logins for the SQL DB, you can set different default schemas for each.

    When you define the connection strings in the BYOD settings, insert the login that uses the schema you want to use with the env.

    The tables will go out from each env. to its related schema on the same DB.

    I have tried and successfully publish the entity to the schema. But when performing 'Export' job, some entities always fail like 'Purchase requisition lines', 'Purchase Recipt lines', 'Return order lines', those entities can be successfully export to 'dbo' schema using another connection.

    Moreover, I've granted administrator rights to the users db_owner, db_securityadmin, db_ddladmin, db_datareader, db_datawriter
