Approval Workflow/Task Creation via a Case Record

Hi All,

I'm looking to create a workflow that triggers an approval process in dynamics from a case record.

I don't really mind how it's triggered but I would ideally like it to create a task in the process and avoid using the approval emails currently in Flow.

So a couple of key things would be:

1. The task has to be associated with the original case

2. It has to be created and assigned to another queue and the case must go on hold until the approval is complete.

I don't know if there is anything out the box that can accomplish this but so far I've failed in every attempt to get something working.

Any ideas on how to start this would be much appreciated!

If interested, I've done this kind of thing outside of the flow 'approval actions'. Personally, I am not doing much with flow until I know more about the API limits.

Hello Sam,

This can be done by various implementations. You can use Plugins or workflows to have this accomplished. It may also need a combination of both with some javascripting but is definitely possible to achieve.
