Can you integrate Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance Module?

Hi,

We are looking to switch over to Business Central as an organisation. As Business Central would not allow budget control by department, we would like to know if we can integrate Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance Module. 

Also would the Finance module allow us to control our budget to prevent a department from overspending?

    G/l budget wise you can produce it to be at a lower level such as department. Requires you to enter dimensions on each budget entry. Trying this might prevent the need to integrate. With it being a discreet topic like budgets you might find an import/export which is manually driven is sufficient. It’s not data which typically changes that frequently.

    Preventing overspend is something a modification could help with. Or you could look at using power automate for approvals. If you need it at line level you may find this helpful: joshanglesea.wordpress.com/.../

    Hi, I agree with Josh, If you find a way to do it directly in Business Central, you will save a lot of connection process and cost.

    Also, as far as I know, there is currently no direct integrate solution for Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance, but I think you can use the Dataverse, as an intermediate process, to access the two systems.
