Calculating Calculated Fields - SOP Form

Greetings.
I am modifying the SOP Short Invoice Form and need assistance with a calculated field.  We’re manually calculating USD to Euros through calculated fields in Report Writer.  In order to get the most accurate calculation, we are doing the following:

(C)Euro Unit Price =  SOP_LINE_WORK.Unit Price / 1.3 (divided by 1.3)

(C)Euro Extended Price = (C)Euro Unit Price * (C)Qty to Invoice

Subtotal = (C)Euro Extended Price  (Display Type = SUM)

(C)Euro Freight = SOP_LINE_WORK.Freight Amount/1.3

Here’s where I’m having trouble:

(C)Euro Total – I thought I could just create a calculated field that added (C)Euro Extended from the subtotal and the Euro Freight to the Euro Total, but I’m not getting the expected results.  I’ve tried changing the Display Type to Data, Sum, Running Sum, Last Occurrence, etc. with not success.

Ideally I could use the normal GP document total divided by conversion factor, but we’ve encountered rounding issues, hence the update.

Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks!

My attempt at calculating the Document Total

RE: Calculating Calculated Fields - SOP Form

    Justin,

Thanks!  I see those fields now.  We went ahead and deployed the report a while back and just used the rate times the US $ for the grand total.  I'll take a look and see how your suggestion work and will deploy next round.  I'll follow up.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

I'm not sure if you still need help on this one but...

When you are creating your Euro Total calculated field, you want to add your Euro Extended Price and Euro Freight from "Report Fields" resource.

When you look at the List of Fields from "Report Fields" you should see something like "RF SUM Euro Extended Price" and "RF SUM Euro Freight".  You want to use these.

Once you complete your Euro Total calculated field and place it on your layout, be sure to change the Display Type to "DATA".

Please let me know how this works for you.

    Thanks,

    Justin

I am asking you add the all calculated fields to report and check each fields values whether it will display correct or not. Additionally set "Display Type" data for all the calculated fields.

Or share the modified report package file, I will check and update you.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Somakarpagamoorthy,

Thanks for responding.  I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but I think I've done so.  All of the calculated fields are printing on the Invoice (Euro Price, Euro Extended, Euro Subtotal, Euro Freight and I've tried several "Display Type" options with no luck.  Changing the display type will change the value, but the math doesn't add up.  I'm thinking the issue is that I'm using the Euro Subtotal which is a SUM of Euro Extended.  I think when I try to add that particular field to the freight, it get's mixed up.

    Thanks.

    Jim

Have you tried to print all the calculated fields separately and check the values?
