If server name is renamed what will be the impact on crm application.

Hello All Experts,

what will be the impact of the server name changes.

one thing active directory groups names to be changed and wherever the application name are there we need to change.

Change the web address

Start the Deployment Manager >> Actions pane >>Properties >>Web Address tab

after changing the web address i restarted the deployment manager and it's working now.

yes got it,

but still the same issue,

whenever i am selecting the organization and trying to browse it it's taking old name in the url.

i think it is taking from somewhere which is cached.

can you put the snapshot .

because i didn't see any web address tab.

there are some other options which i have changed accordingly from organization table.

For Deployment manager, you can change the url in properties-

Start the Deployment Manager >> Actions pane >>Properties >>Web Address tab

from deployment manager,

navigating to file->options

getting above image , what will happen if i delete these files.

or can anyone let me know how to get the physical path for this.

Got the issue ,

server table contains in config db has old server name.

i have updated the record and started the service.

now crm is also working.

But one trouble while trying to browse url from the deployment manager still old server name is reflected.
