Hi Experts,

I have created a Business Process Flow and validated and activated.  The Business Process Flow applies on the new record (when i  create new record). However, it is not applying to the existing record. How to go about fixing this issue?

Thanks

This resolved the issue I was seeing in my environment.

Since we activated the BPF after the records were created, we needed to associate the BPF record with our Lead records.

Thank you for the info, Chintan!

Yep what Leo suggested will work but user need to do this manually for each record.
To do this for all record , all you need to do is create a record for the BPF entity for the existing records. This can be done easily by a workflow. So, create a r workflow to trigger it on your main entity ( say account) and then within the workflow create a record for your BPF entity. Under the properties, you can select the default stage and associate it with the your main entity (say account).

Once done, select the records of your main entity (say account) and run this workflow. When you open the record after this, you will see that the BPF is applied on the record.

    Hi partner,

You need to enable the BPF in existing records.

Open the existing record, and find the Process->Switch Process, select your new BPF.

    Hi there,

For existent records you may need to associate them manually to the BPF.

Please try to select the record on grid/view and go to form ribbon click on 'Process' chose your BPF or chose the option 'Switch Process' chosing yours, it should show the BPF to your existent record.

In case you are unable to see the BPF on 'Process' option, I would also suggest to check:

If the BPF and its entities are added to your app, in App designer

If the security role from affected user has prvivileges checked for the BPF

Check which entity is showed in 'primary entity' of BPF, this should be the entity record you are working
