Data Entity for Net Requirements

Hello All,

We are on 10.0.30 version.

Is there a OOB data entity for Net requirements? we are trying to build Power BI report to view the net requirements for all Items because there is no OOD form form which displays net requirements for all Items. The report will display the quantity remaining for each Item after consumption for the real demand like production order, Transfer order, sales order etc.

The reason behind the report is we wanted to know the Items inventory with no demand. We use MRP, firm planned purchase and planned productions orders. We do buy Items with MOQ (Min order qty) so we have some left overs sitting on the Inventory for a while with no real demand. we wanted to identify those Items so we can take action against those items since our Items are batch controlled with an expiry date on it.

Is there a better way/form to identify the Items with no demand?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Sarani,

The Net requirements page shows the net requirements that master planning calculated for the product. It also shows the coverage settings that were applied during the master planning run, a breakdown of the requirements totals by transaction type, and pegging information. For content on net requirement, you can check the link below.

In addition, through document query, no OOB data entity for net requirements is found, and you may need to create this data entity by yourself.

    Best Regards,

    Hana

    Hi Sarani,

Did you ever come up with a solution for this?

I have the same issue and additionally would like to be able to report out when a subset of parts are expected to hit zero on hand inventory. Apart from running net requirements for hundreds of parts and compiling the data there seems to be no way to do this out of the box.

    Hi ,
I experienced this requirement in 2020 where I needed to add some planning items through a master plan, and I think till date there is no data entity available to this out of the box.

You can get this information from net requirements page, or even Gross requirements if you are dealing with Forecast Planning.

    Thanks,
    Warm Regards,
    Zain
