Hi All,

Work Center Group and Work Center is replaced by Resource Group and Resource in AX 2012, I want to know what is Production flow model and how it works with Resource Group [ define as Work Cell in Resource Group].

 I am interested to know what the major changes occured in AX 2012 regarding Production module.

One more thing i want to ask, i can define various product type in formula planning for a product [Go to Product > Engineering], to create BOM of a product i need to select  'BOM' here but where the others options will use e.g. Co product, by product, planning item, formula

    “Production flow model” and “work cell” are used in lean manufacturing. Lean manufacturing is available in the Production control module in AX 2012. For more information, see the following online help topics:

    • Production flow model (form)

    • Resource groups (form) > Work cell capacity FastTab

    • Key tasks: Set up a work cell for lean manufacturing

    “Formula”, “co-product”, and “by-product” are used in process manufacturing. Process manufacturing is available in the Production control and Inventory and warehouse management modules in AX 2012. For more information, see the following online help topics:

    • Formula (form)

    • Create a formula and formula version

    • Co-products (form)

    • Co/By products - batch (form)

    • Create a co-product

    • Create a by-product
