HI Team ,
We have identified that few of our gift card in few legal entities are shown locked in AX.
Normally gift card should be locked if it is being used on POS in some trnsaction and that transaction is not completed but we see many card as locked though they are not on pos on any transactions.
has anyone faced this issue or can some one sugeest what could be the issue?
we know that we can unock by using funation button on the gift card but we want to know the cause of same.
If gift card is stolen how can we make it lock or block on inactive ?

Hi Ritesh,
This can usually occur, if during a transaction, the MPOS (if you are using with offline functionality) goes into offline mode (and a partial payment was made with gift card or payment is not processed yet), the gift card payment work wont. Now, when switching to online, one must void this transaction (and payment). BUT at HQ side, the gift card still remains in locked state albeit with a retail channel value.

Unfortunately, we cannot lock, block or deactivate a gift card on demand. A gift card can only be voided (if it hasn't been redeemed) or deleted (if there are no transactions against it). If anyone else has any experience in locking, blocking, please update here.
