Any Hardware change in Production system is required when migrating from MS CRM 2011 to MS CRM 2016.

Dear Experts,

As title mentioned , we are in the process of migrating our CRM from CRM 2011 to CRM 2016/365 , is there any change in Production server hardware required , as i can see on microsoft  website , there is no difference for server configuration for CRM 2011 and CRM 2016.

As of now our CRM performance is good and we are happy with the configuration of CRM 2011 Prod. server but same server hardware configuration will work for MS CRM 2016 as well ?

Note:- we will be using different server for this migration , its not in-place migration.

    Hi,

    for the hardware you can find here what you need: technet.microsoft.com/.../hh699840.aspx

    Just for your knowledge, you know that CRM UI/UX has a lot of changes between CRM2011 and CRM2016. All this new UX/UI needs to load/render more stuff which can increase 10% loading time in CRM2016. You should do a PoC in order to analyse the perf issues that you could encounter. :)

    The same hardware configuration should work equally well for CRM 2016/365 as for CRM 2011. There's no substantial difference in the server processing requirements between the versions
