When trying to register a network printer through the DRA (when running as desktop application), I get the error below:

Does anyone know anything about this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Jsabanovski,

I found an old thread mentioning the same error. You can refer to it:

Hi, Where is the printer installed and have you signed in to DRA application using Admin account.

Have you checked Event Viewer logs?

Go to Event Viewer-->Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Dynamics > AX-DocumentRouting and check both Admin and Operational sections.

No, but looking at it I get this information on that error:

As the error says that record already exists so I would assume that someone registered that printer earlier and then probably deleted from D365 F&O. There is TokenCache2.dat file in below path. Sign out and Close your DRA application, take a backup of this TokenCache2 file. Delete the TokenCache2 file and start DRA application. Then try to register the printer.

Tip: You wont see ProgramData folder in C drive so type manually (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations - Document Routing)

Late to this conversation but I did find a fix when I was receiving the same error message.

Go to the event viewer location as recommended by Mohit above.

Look in the Operational menu and find the Error message created by the above 400 Internal Server Error.

In the details tab, I found the following.

I found the above printer in the Doc Routing Agent printer list, unticked it and clicked Register.  The error message did not appear and I was able to tick and add the new printers I wanted.

Can't say this will be the same issue you had but it did fix the issue for me.
