I would like to change the key that we're searching from the Search for the Booking Requirements view.
Upon my investigation, it is just using the Primary Key of the Unscheduled Work Orders view which is the Name field.
Any ideas on how I can change it to use another field(custom field) as a key for the search? or is it even possible?

I dont think you can currently search by a custom or another field.
I think the only way you can get around this is to create as many defined views as you can which will give your users an easier time to search for work order numbers
