How to hide Activity Type from Activity Subgrid "+"

We need to hide one of the activity from Activity subgrid "+" as we are not using this activity type,

We don't want to allow user to create any activity with that type.

Please refer screenshot, want to hide 'service Activity'

    Here you can find a list of possibilities:

    www.powerobjects.com/.../what-to-do-with-unwanted-activity-types-in-dynamics-crm

    I would not recommend to touch any CRM files as it is unsupported. (With Online it is not possible anyway)

    I was able to accomplish this by following these steps, I just documented on stack overflow.
