 Hello

Is it possible to change the fields showing in the duplicate detection views?  I cannot find the correct view to customize - I am pretty sure Ive done this before but am at a complete loss as to how...  I need to start a folder for knowledge base articles.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

You have 3 types of entities in dynamics crm:

    - Custom entities: entities that you create yourself and where you are free to modify them

    - Customizable entities: entities created by dynamics crm and where crm allows you to modify certain parts of the entitiy (for instance attributes, form and views)

    - System entities: entities created by dynamics crm where crm does NOT allow you to modify the entities.

Duplicate Detection Rule is a system entity, which means you can't edit or create a custom view

It could be done via custom dev but required a lot of effort.

I may be a little late answering this but I have been looking for the same thing for ages.

The answer is that these views are a combination of two areas; some columns are taken from the Duplicate Detection Rules that you have set up and the others are from the 'Lookup View' of the entity you are reporting against.

For Example: If you are running you duplicate rule for the Account and you are looking for the same Zip/Post Code, this column will be automatically added to your view. Most of the additional columns come from the 'Account Lookup View' so you can add and remove columns for this part of the view.

I hope this helps someone, please let me know.

As per MS Learn Docs- To modify the columns that are visible for the current record in the duplicate detection dialog, administrators can modify the Advanced Find View for that entity.
