Dynamics Web Client 2016 Single Sign On

I think I have done everything as per the manual, but when I try to login to the web client, I get the same login screen that I get when running the Desktop version.

completed tasks so far:

Killed the GPWebClient
Ran the GP Utility to create a new one called GPWebClientN
Ran Repair the Web Client under Control Panel/Programs and Features

The user can login to Desktop and Web client and run all functionality. It is the extra screen that I get when trying to login to the Web Client.

Authentication: SQL Server Account, When I try to change to Directory Account, I get "This login failed. Attempt to log in again or contact your system administrator". I did not see any errors in the Event Viewer.

I ran SQL Trace, I don't see GPWebClientN at all. All about my username.

What am I missing?

I am at loss. Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi May,

Did you add in GP under the user maintenance the corresponding AD user-ID for the windows Authentication to work ? (it's in the second tab in user maintenance).. if you don't do that, the Web client login will not let you use Windows authentication for direct-login..

PS: also if you intend to use the HR Self-service function or the PTE, you have to link the Employee ID card to the GP user login in HR...
