Changing Supplier Status to Inactive - Batch

Hi

So now we have cleared 11 years worth of data from our system we would like to remove suppliers/customer that have not had a transaction in 2 years and no balance.

If the customer/supplier wants to do business again then we will have them fill out new forms etc so would rather we couldn't get lazy and just reactivate with old data.

Is it possible to do this in a batch rather than individual?  We have 4600 suppliers that we haven't dealt with in over 2 years.

    You could use a SQL statement.  You just need to mark the vendor/customer record where their balance is 0 and the date of last invoice > 2 years

    Hi,

    If you have cleared all of the Vendor history, you can go to Mass Vendor delete and wipe out a whole group of vendors In a single swipe. If you change the vendor's status to 'temporary' you can wipe them out whether or not you have trx history.

    It's not as easy with customers. If you want to delete them, you must remove all of their transaction history. Absent that, you'll need to do as Richard suggested and delete them on the SQL side.
