Error after SP3 upgrade to SL 7.0 FPak1

I just upgraded my development environment and applied SP3 on a SL7.0 Feature Pack 1 installation.  Once it completed I ran the DB update as well.

Once DBupdate completed I ran the application and got the following errors.

Sys Message 6814 "You have reached the maximum accesses for this module in TRIALLOC Mode, Please Resoter the Trial Datbase"

Any ideas?  I am running off of copies of the production database.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting to this OTC.

Typically, if the keys are entered and saved, but you might get a TrialLoc (Trial Lock) error message because the version that was installed is incorrect. You should check which edition of Dynamics SL 70 the keys are for - Business Ready Licencing (Business Essentials or Advanced Management) , Module Licensing (Single-User Standard, Multi-User, or Professional)

Verify the Edition of SL 7.0 installed on the server. To do this, please see the following steps:

    - Log into SL as the Microsoft Dynamics SL 'SYSADMIN' user

    - Select Administration from the left side navigation pane, under Maintenance, select the Registration screen.

    - Once in the Registration screen, double left mouse click in a gray area (not in a field), and then click the Modules tab.

    - Another smaller screen should pop up called Registration Product Code.

The product codes are as follows for the different editions of Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 and of later versions:

    • Business Essentials = 60

    • Advanced Management = 61

    • Single User Standard= 49

    • Multi-User Standard = 48

    • Professional = 47

If your keys are not for the correct edition, then you should uninstall and install the correct version. Then the keys should work. You can also change the solinst file, but you have to be very careful when changing it and the safest method to install the correct version is to reinstall the Dynamics SL program and select the correct Edition on install.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Darin
