Hi Everyone ,

We are currently configuring D365 FO to send customer statements to multiple customers using batch jobs.

My concern is regarding the date intervals: when I select a date interval, it picks the current month. For the following month, will the system automatically generate statements for that month as well?

im going to run this a batch job every month

The date intervals are already defined in the ledger setup, but I’m not sure if they are user-defined or if they update automatically based on the ledger calendar.

Yes you can setup the batch job for monthly run, by using the Date interval option, make sure to clear the From date and To date before setting the batch processing. Date interval option is given by Microsoft to handle such dynamic ranges while setting up the batch jobs or direct run.

I have tested this on my environment, it works perfectly. If you just select the date interval, it takes the from date and to date automatically during process run. You can test the same without batch and From date/To date by just giving Date interval.

@CA Neeraj Kumarthank you for your response yes , ur right i tried to remove the dates and its showing , and when i go to interval dates , its stating the actual month dates . and there's no other intervals dates for the past month or so .

i guess that the only way to verify that the batch jobs is going to work 100% is that either wait for the next month and test in UAT or change the server date for Dev but i dont think that is needed.

Hi, that is not needed..  i tested by giving a batch job start date of Sep 2025 month, and report generated for the month, then a new job was scheduled for next month and i validated the parameters from Batch job > View tasks > Parameters, so since it will be run next month, it will fetch system date of that month and work properly. And nothing to worry here, as we are already using this logic for same report and also for similar kind of reports wherever date interval logic is available.
