Hi all,
This is a pretty lame question, but here goes. Why is Analytical Accounting a sub-product to Fixed Assets on the install?

Thanks Derek,
I thought about that, but you can install AA without FA and it seems to work.
Shawn, as far as the PSTL main window is concerned, I was told once that it didn't fit anywhere else, and Project wasn't cluttered. That didn't make any sense to me either, but sometimes there isn't a reason. It just is :)

It actually may be in the way GP is coded in that there are processes in AA that require FA to be there, whether used or not, whereas FA doesn't require AA to be there, but we don't have anything explicitly spelling out the connection. I'll admit I'm not the expert in AA/FA either, but that's what I've gathered from resources here.
Was it an old school licensing thing? Good question! Also wonder why PSTL shortcut is under Project in the application - no biggie, just somethings make me wonder :)
Speaking to some resources here that work more with AA and FA, I don't know if there is a specific reason why that changed as I believe it did so around GP 2010 or GP 2013.
From what I heard that question was asked of development but I don't know if we ever got a 'concrete' answer as to why the change was made.
Sorry I couldn't come up with a better answer on this........... :)
