Inventory Costing Methods and Detail in AX

We are currently using Standard costing and have always done so. We are thinking about changing the to either FIFO or AVG but are weighing the pro's and con's. One thing I think we will lose if the level of detail we have on STD. With STD we are using and using cost groups to get the "detail" that said,  believe we CANNOT on FIFO or AVG. We need to be able to see ALL the costs  - by cost groups. If I can do it any other way I will take it.

Please tell me if I am missing something. I want to make sure we weigh our options.

    Hi Kate,

Suggest you to stick to Standard cost with cos groups if you want the cost analysis to depth and detail of cost groups.

    Thanks,

    Ganesh
