MS CRM 2013 new installation missing data source connection with fetchxml for ssrs.

Hi All,

I have installed ms crm 2013 with sql server 2014. 

Operating system is  'Window Server 2012 R2'.

I have installed Visual studio 2010, 2012, and 2015.

While created ssrs report for crm fetch xml, i am not able to connect data soruce with CRM dynamics fetchXml. It is missing in data source.

I have installed SQL server data tools for Visual studio 2012.

I have also installed CRM 365 dynamics report authoring extension.

I tried to install crm 2013 report authoring extension, but it gives me error 'Some required components are missing. for list of the required components see the ms crm 2011 reeport authoring extension'.

    I think BIDS is 32 bits anyway.. I guess download the 32 bits version to be safe. When installing SQL express, you likely don't need to install the database etc. I don't remember how the component list looks like right now - eventually, you just need the Business Intelligence Development Studio (seems to be under the Management Tools) and whatever else will be required to get it installed:

    yes, not able to install both version in same machine. It giving me Fatal Error as mentioned in link provided by Thomas.

    Which setup of sql server 2008 i need to install... -  x64_enu or x86_enu.

     not sure if you can install both versions of the report authoring extensions on the same machine..

    Actually i am using both 365 online version and 2013 onpremise version for crm. As firstly i tried with 2013 report authoring but it gives error, so i installed 365 report authoring and this works for new report of 365 crm version. But for old/existing reports of crm2013 it does not work.

    As mentioned earlier, I have installed SQL server data tools for Visual studio 2012 and for 2015.

    Let you know after go through recommended links.

    Hi,

     I don't think you should be using 365 version of the report authoring extensions with 2013 version of Dynamics. On the other hand, 2013 version of the report authoring extensions does not support Visual Studio 2012 - have a look at the system requirements here:

    Actually, I see the problem.. SSDT for VS2010 is not available anymore.

    Well, you might try installing BIDS for VS2008 - these two links should help:

    I checked and done that after install of dynamics 365 report authoring.

    But, while installing crm2013 report authoring. I am getting below error-

    'Some required components are missing. for list of the required components see the ms crm 2011 reeport authoring extension'.

    It looks like a lot of users are experiencing this and there is typically not one solution. One of my colleagues had this issue and he followed this guide and it worked for him:
