We have changed Employee Address from Florida to SC, his SUTA State is SC too.

When we calculate payroll STATE Tax is not getting calculated. Is there any other setup I am missing?

His Gross Salary before Deduction: 5037.37

Total Deduction: 556.85

Tax on Wages :

FICA SOC SEC:    $308.79

FICA Medicare:                 $72.22

Federal Withheld:   $438.06

STATE Tax ?( it should calculate State Tax)?

Your reply is highly appreciable.

Thanks
Sandip

    Will do,

I spent some time with Richard Whaley in Orlando in June. Also, I've worked with Jackie Smith and the kind folks at IBG over the years. I don't get to Orlando that much anymore, but I will make a note to give you a ring if I've got Orlando in my sights.

Hmm, San Antonio to Orlando, that's quite a change :)

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Sandip you're a sweetie,

I meant for you to mark your own answer as the verified one.

It just registered with me that we're both in Texas! If you ever make your way to Dallas, give me a ring!

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Always the obvious :). So, they did more than just move the employee, they set up a new code as well. I thought they were using the same code, but it was still trying to withhold the old state.

Thanks for the follow up! You might want to mark this as answered so we all stop trying to 'help' :)

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Appreciate for your help. There was small mistake from user side. They have not marked Paycodes- Subject To taxes for STATE.

Once we checked option it work.

    We can close this case!!!

    Thanks

    Hi,

Have you changed the tax withholding state on the Tax Maintenance window?

    Hi Ma'am,

I have inactivate another state from Employee State Maintenance but still it didn't calculate 'STATE' tax.

Is there any other setup I have to check?

Your earliest reply is highly appreciable.

    Thanks

    Hi Sandip,

Have you filled out the State Tax information for the Employee?state-tax-maintenance.png

You'll also want to inactivate the other state.

    Did this help?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
