An error occurred attempting to install Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Bootstrapper.

Hi,

I am trying to install GP 2010 R2 on a client machine that has Windows 7.

During installation, a message appears that, “An error occurred attempting to install Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Bootstrapper”. 

An early response shall be highly appreciated.

    Irfan,

    Try logging into Windows as the local built-in administrator, that should prevent any installation issues.

    I am having the same problems on Small Business Server 2008.   Can you tell me what internal issues you resolved to correct the problem?  This is a brand new server installation.

    Are to trying to install GP on Server or Client computer.

    We had faced this issue while installation of Client Packages.

    Our Active directory has been crashed and our IT department has restored an earlier version, which was prior to up-gradation of GP.

    In this case, we set up Client Package once again with our latest image of server and load client on machines.

    I uninstalled .Net Framework 4.0 and that resolved the problem.
