Script to Delete unposted Quote from

Posted on by 90

Hello All,

We are using GP 10 SP4 and currently planning to change valuation method from FIFO to AVg. But as prerequisite if any item is there in unposted sales transaction entry, system won't allow to change valuation method.

Unfortunately we have thousands of Quote records which are showing as unposted, we don't have any problem to delete these transactions, but is there any easy way to delete them from database?

Means, is there any script or solution available to delete all unposted quote??

Thanks in Advance,

Dharmesh N. Vyas

    Hi Bradley,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Yes surely your idea helps, infact i tried Macro stuff before, but it takes a lot time, and i am having thousands unposted quotes and sales orders :(

    Anyways, thanks for your suggestion.

    Hello Dharmesh,

A simple way is to create a macro that will switch to the next document and press the delete button. When it prompts to confirm the delete have it pause for your input so that you can confirm the delete.  Then save the macro, open it in notepad and copy/paste the lines that will repeat the process.

Let me know if that helps.
