Hi, I understand that it is out of box function that when creating accounts or contacts, it is also creating the address records. Is there any way that we can disable this behavior?

Nope, you can't disable it.
Hi,
you can not disable this behaviour. However what you can do is to write plugin/workflow on create of customer address and delete that record post create.
