Hi,

In the dynamics crm, I have one custom entity in which there is a active view. I have a date field.

I want the view by default to be showed by  descending order based on date.

so i went to the solution and in the views, I went to configure sorting. Here I see 'sort by' and then 'then by'

I am not sure what is the difference between these both?

Any explantion on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

RE: views - configure sorting order

By default you can configure 2 sorting columns in CRM. The first one will be Sort By and second column will be then by.

For example if you want to sort your account view based on created on then Account name. In that case you need to use frst Sort By in Desc on created on and then use Account name.

It will sort your view on 2 columns First it will sort by Created on and then by Account Name.
