Dynamics 365 - How to add a dashboard filter?

Hello there,

We need to be able to add a filter to our dashboard in order to filter it by Area, is it possible? I know we could edit the views under the dahboard and create different dashboard per area, but there are too many in our instance, so we really need to have a kind of filter at the top of the dashboard that filters the information based on the selection.

I am quite sure that with the standard functionality is not possible, but does anyone know a way to do it with code or somehow?

You need to set permissions by security role for the dashboards. That is the only way without customization..

The dashboards in V9 support filtering www.inogic.com/.../new-entity-specific-dashboard-in-dynamics-365-v9-0

Hi Jeudy,

What version of Dynamics CRM Online are you on?

If you are on version 9, you can add filtering to your dashboard lists, but this does not exists in any release prior to version 9.
