Issue with Ultimate Workflow Tools - The entity with a name = 'uwt_settings' with namemapping = 'Logical' was not found in the MetadataCache

Hi there,

We have deployed the Ultimate Workflow Toolkit in our D365 environment recently and trying to use share record with a user action. On workflow trigger, i am getting the below error and not sure where this entity exists.

I am really not sure what the "uwt_settings" entity is. Do we need to create this entity? if we have to create the entity, what could be the field information?

Please help me with this information.

    I am using version 1.5.0.1 and we are on D365 Online. Please suggest and provide a link to the latest version of the toolkit if i am using older version.

    The latest is 1.5.1.1 and you can download it here - github.com/.../v1.5.1.1

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for sharing the latest version link and really appreciate your efforts to develop the tool.

    I have downloaded the latest version that you have shared. I am still getting the same error.

    Here are the steps that i followed to register the plugin.

    1. Downloaded the UWT toolki.

    2. Registered the plugin assembly using XRM Toolbox plugin registration tool.

    3. Created a workflow that shares a record with the user on opportunity entity

    4. Created an opportunity record.

    When i check the system jobs, the workflow gets failed and throwing the above error attached.

    Please suggest if i am doing anything differently than the actual process that needs to follow.

    There is no need to download source code, compile it and so on. What you need is to download managed version of solution and import it to your system - it's UltimateWorkflowToolkit_1_5_1_1.zip file available by the url I provided earlier or by this url - github.com/.../UltimateWorkflowToolkit_1_5_1_1.zip

    I followed the same. I am still getting the error. Below the error description.

    The entity with a name = 'uwt_settings' with namemapping = 'Logical' was not found in the MetadataCache. MetadataCacheDetails: ProviderType=Dynamic, StandardCache=True, IsLoadedInStagedContext = False, Timestamp=62046805, MinActiveRowVersion=62046805

    Do you know what is uwt_settings entity? do i have to create this entity? Please help with this.

    I'm sorry but you're doing something wrong.

    Yes, I know what this entity is because I created this toolkit. It's the entity that contains some settings and it's created if you imported solution.

    Now one more time step by step describe what you do. It should not include anything related to plugin registration tool. Just download, import, use.

    I am sorry, I was using the plugin registration tool instead of just import the solution. Now, I did import the solution. Now the flow is getting succeeded.

    I have one last question. Does the flow triggers an email upon sharing a record?

    There is no OOB possibility to trigger the workflow on share of record event. To handle share of the record event you will have to develop a plugin.
