I am using RMS 2.0 Store Op and HQ.  I have setup two stores with HQ, and they all synchronize without error.  Even though I have setup all ports properly, but I still cannot see the "Check Stores" button within the item page.  Any help?

I finally found out what causing the missing "Check Stores" button.

From the Store Operation Manager, under the Configuration->Options->Item options.  If you enabled "Always display 'Find' windows for Items", the "Check Stores" button will be disabled from the Database->Items page.

Thank you so much to whom has replied to this forum.

Without having your QB Data I cant say. Contact me at maurice@americanretailsupply.com If I can see your data and do a few tests I would be able to see what the problem is.

Re: "Check Stores" button missing from Item page

I have updated to the latest SP3 version.

I did an experiment by using the sampleDB, and it worked.  I could see the "Check Store" button from that Database.

However, I then recreate my Database by importing my existing DB from Quickbooks 2008.  Same problem again, the "Check Store" button does not reveal.  I can do Worksheet 401 and 101 and both stores and HQ are synchronized.

Any idea?  Desperate help is needed.  Thanks.

Port number I mentioned is default, As long as the ports are set to match the rest of the systme your fine. If you set up just as mentioned above you may want to try the re-install as mohammed mentioned or check and see what version you are on, Currently RMS is at service pack 3, 2.0.0126 you could also try and make a BU of the databse and take it to a store that is working and recover the DB and see what if you get the check stores button as well.

     It sould work,

try reinstall the program, and would be better if you install it on other machine.

also install the last updated and hotfixes for RMS,

    Thank you

    Thank MGordon,

I have set it up as per you mentioned.  I still do not get the Check Stock button from Item List in Op Manager nor Store Op POS.

I got a question why port 34202?  Is this a default port or pre-defined?  We are using 34333 and 34111 for HQ synchronization in different stores.

I have both stores setup unique store ID and both store show "Database has been synchronized" under Store Op Manager->Config->Multi-Store tab.

And I can see the inventory in different stores from HQ Manager under each item's Store Quantity tab,

Finally, we are using RMS version 2.0 for both HQ & Store Op.

    Your help is very appreciated.

In Operations admin under File-> Config-> HQ Client, Put in the PC Name or IP that has the HQ Client running on it put in port 34202 hit OK.  then make sure in the op mgr that there is a store id( the store ID isnt really needed but the info from admin is).

Also make sure after you make the change to ops admin that ops mgr is either closed or you close and reopen. If it doesnt work let us know

Re: Re: "Check Stores" button missing from Item page

Thanks Many.  However, I tried to put on HQ server name, Client server name, HQ IP and Client IP.  None of them will provide me the "Check Stores" button from Store Operation Manager, under Database Item list.  I can only see "Find Now", "New Search", "New", "Copy", "Delete", "Properties", "Picture" and "Close" buttons.  Am I suppose to see the "Check Stores" button from this "Find Items" screen??

make sure that in Store Operations Admin Configuration, under the HQ Client tab you have the server name as the Address, this should take care of your problem.
