Running Dynamics CRM on one PC

Hi,

I have office 365 on my laptop and have downloaded Dynamics CRM 32bit onto the laptop. The Dynamics CRM installed ok but when I try and start it / open it in outlook it wants me to add a url or to select CRM Online. I only want to use the CRM application on the laptop. I don't have a server. what do I select to allow me to use the CRM software on the laptop?

The following is the current setup

The laptop is stand alone and not connected to a server.

It's running Windows 10

Office 365 is installed

Dynamics CRM 2015 32bit

Assuming I get this to work on the laptop, I might want to share the CRM database between the laptop and a home PC, is it possible to share the db / file using Dropbox or one drive?

Thanks for any advice on this setup / install problem

Siggi

Hi Chitra and thanks for the info. In short - No - I don't have any crm online subscription. I don't need to access the db via the web. I only need to access the db on the PC / laptop.

I currently use a product called ACT! which again is on the PC and not on the web.

If you can only use Dynamics CRM 2015 on a server / web then I can probably use the MS BCM application in outlook to do what I want to do.

Thanks for the info Guido, I was wandering if this was the case. I have now download the Business Contact Manager for Outlook which will probably do what I am looking for. I understand that I can add and customise fields so I should be fine.
