Dynamics 365 App for Outlook With IFD

Posted on by 911

Hi, I've IFD setup for Dynamics 365 (on premise). I noticed that, when I want to track a record in outlook with Dynamics 365 app for outlook, it does not open. When I run the outlook as administrator, the app for outlook work for me, sometimes it ask for credentials too.

does anyone know why it force me to run the outlook as administrator for the app to work?

thanks

Liton

I'm facing the similar issue. I'm using app with the IFD and it does ask for credentials multiple times.

Can you please leave an IE browser window opened - at the same time when you open Outlook?

When you get prompted for credentials in Outlook, don't enter the credentials but try to perform any action in CRM via the web browser. Do you get prompted for credentials in the browser as well?

    Hi litonn,

    1. Have you tried adding the CRM Website under trusted sites / local intranet zone in IE?

    2. On the Explorer bar, click or tap the Tools icon (the white gear shape), and then click or tap Internet options.

    3. Click or tap the Security tab > Trusted sites > Sites.

    4. In Add the CRM website to the zone, type the URL for your Dynamics 365 (online) organization. For example, https://org.yourdomain.com

    5. Click or tap Add > Close > OK.

    Does that make any difference?
