    Hi,

If you want to secure posting permission as Mahmoud described, you can do that.

Look at the TRX_FIN_003* task. Select the 'Product:' as 'Microsoft Dynamics GP', the 'Type:' as 'Series Posting Permissions' and the 'Series:' as 'Financial'.

You can select/deselect posting permissions by document origin. Therefore, you could allow posting Bank Transactions, but not allow posting General Journal Entries. (see screen shot below)

The posting permission is separate from window access.

What you can't do without Field-Level security (or Mod/VBA) is to disable the 'Post' button. However, if the user does not have posting permissions - pushing the Post button won't do anything.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Do you mean to separate the posting privilege for the users entering JE on the general ledger level, so that you have users only entering JE, while others could check and post ?

Could you elaborate further on the requirement of the question.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
