System locks often requiring ledger entries to be compiled why.

Hallo.

At work we use MS Dynamics 2016. We experience performance degradation every day due to several “tables being locked by another user” error type problems.  One of the ways in which we  are able to temporarily resolve this challenge is by compiling vendor ledger entry and savings ledger entry tables. Sometimes  we are forced to restart the application server. The system becomes quite fast after compiling the two tables. Is there a permanent solution.

    Do you see any errors or warnings in the event log? there are many reasons for the table locks, poorly designed code or customization, there is a stryk sql block detection code which will track what causing the table locks and who is causing that may help to analyze the issue and fix it.
