Release To Warehouse taking lot of time to Process

Hi there,

There are some issues in AX from last two days

1. When even i am performing Release to Warehouse, it is taking 4-6 minutes for creating a Work.

2. Work is getting created only for some items remaining items are left with out creating work.

3. Size of the sql server tables in around 95 GB, can we perform OLTP on ax so that historical data is moved to one place

I compiled my AOT and also performed Synchronization on my Data Dictionary but no result.

Please help me to solve this issue.

For archiving your historical data you can use IDMF tool.

Are you only experiencing this in one specific area, or many areas across AX? Do you have customizations?

Is your AX AOS and SQL Setup as per best practices, and are you doing regular index and statistics maintenance? You should check the links summarized in the below blog post:

Yes we are experiencing this issue only in that specific area, and we are having lots of customization in ax.

We have not yet performed indexing manually.

Then that is your problem. You must do indexing and statistics maintenance on a daily/weekly basis to maintain performance, otherwise your system speed will collapse. You may find information about that in the linked article, see if it gets better after getting into a regular SQL maintenance.

Hi Mohammed,

What CU do you have? There are several hotfixes for performance improvements in the Warehouse management module:

blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../performances-hotfixes-for-the-new-warehouse-management-module

At least one of which relates to the 'Release to warehouse' process.
