Changing company shows new name, but does not change

We just noticed that using the Status Bar to change companies is not working as it should. The status bar showed that we had changed to the new company but after opening a couple forms to view data we noticed that we were still viewing the old company's data. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? We just installed SP4 -- maybe it's related. Thanks.

Have recently performed two SP4 upgrades and did not experience that problem.

Have you verified that someone didn't actually go restore a copy of the one company over the other company is SQL?  Is it possible that GP is actually operating properly?  You should at least double check data in SQL vs. what you are seeing in the company.

My colleague and I are the only two that have access to restore a company and our last restoration was a while before we noticed this behavior.

I just checked our installation and switching companies with the Status Bar appears to be working today.  However, our ISV said that another client of theirs is experiencing the same issues.  In fact, they were experiencing issues before we were.  We were asked to check our system at that time and we did not have any problems switching companies.  A few days later the problems began for us and now it appears to be back to normal for the time being.  Maybe it has to do with their 3rd party product.  We'll keep an eye on it and post more later.

Well let us know if you find a solution.  By the way, this is why I always wait a while before performing service pack upgrades.  I like to wait and read this forum about all the problems it creates and then plan accordingly.

There have been cases where leaving a third party product window open and then changing companies will cause what you are seeing.
