Card Swipe Error Status =4

I'm trying to change my credit card processor. I have the parameter sheet, but after inputting everything per the sheet - I swiped a card and it came back fail - status =4...What is status 4 - so I can try to correct the problem....

    Ask your processor what they are seeing on their end and ask them what an error 4 is.

    Also make sure that your computer's time zone, time and date are correct.
