Hi,

I have a list of users in a multi-select option set with the following subset values selected
Example:
   100000001   Joe M
   100000002   Jane E

How do I retrieve their email addresses form a different look-up field
and then send an email notification to these users that are selected in my list

Any guidance is greatly appreciated

    Hi

Are you using multi-select because you want be able to send email to multiple users?

This sort of requirement normally fits well withe a subgrid on the main entity where you add all the users you want email to be sent and then a Send Email flag field on the main entity will trigger the workflow

This workflow can then call a Custom Workflow Activity to send email to all the users in the list.

If you definitely want to implement using Option Set, let us know we should be able to help

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

Yes, I am using Multi-Select Option Set because I want to send to notifications to multiple users.

However currently the Multi-Select Option Set it is not a look-up field and it is not supported in process

so somehow I have to retrieve their email addresses from Users and send these notifications on change of a case

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Nick Mangioros,

Let me correct if I'm wrong, you want to send email for those users who are selected in list. I believe you could use view to send email to users using Run workflow button.

If you want to send email to no of users on another entity record then go through with subgrid option. Multi-select will not work in generic case.

Note: This needs to be triggered when there is an update in the case

send emails to all who are in the list (subscribed)

    Thanks
