Mapping of Country Look-up fields on using Form Capture on an external webCMS

We would like to use our webCMS forms and map these fields to 365M using the "Form Capture" feature.

Today we currently load the 365 Forms onto our webCMS via an iFrame, but we want to go away from this approach.

It seems quite straightforward to map most fields, except the look-up fields.  eg.  Country

How can we do this?

I looked at this article, but it wasnt quite what i was looking for.

    Hi,

The link you provided is answered by me.

Would you please explain what specific problems you encountered in the map process?

Hi Nya, my specific question is related to the input look-up fields for Country and State/Region. With my non-microsoft form, using the form capture mode, how do i populate these 2 fields with data and map these fields to the correct Country?

    1. Is there a script to call the data from 365 to these fields in my webCMS Form?

    2. Do i manually need to add every single Country and State/Region into my Dropdown field that exactly matches the drop-down list in 365?

If so, how are these mapped to the correct countries in 365M?

We currently have a flow that routes a form-submission based on the selected "Country" to a designated "Sales Area" to process the lead.

    Hi Chris,

The Look-up fields cannot be used in the Form Capture scenario. You can use Look-up fields only in a form created in D365 Marketing.

It is possible to use Drop-down fields for the Form Capture scenario. You will have to create the same list of countries in D365 database as you already have in your CMS. You can add the countries manually one by one, or you can use the API to add these as bulk: docs.microsoft.com/.../use-web-api-metadata.

    Thank you.

    Hello Petr,

im facing the same issue as Chris.

I need to create around 50 capture forms and we have a Country Dropdown (already created in CMS and MSD) with approx. 200 countries. In the capture form -> Do I need to manually map every country one by one or can I do this somehow in bulk so that I dont have to do this every time I create a capture form...

The link you provided leads to an 404..

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best,

    Adrian

Thanks for your reply. Is it possible using form capture to use pre-filled custom fields that we can hide. All our current embedded forms use custom fields for Brand, Product Category etc .. that we hide via CSS  "display-none" which is anyway really time-consuming with the hide field checkbox. But anyway, we would like to use the same functionality on the embedded form as with the capture form. Is this possible and how would we do this?
