Logo in Report Writer

Posted on by 280

I'm attempting to add my client's logo to the check form, invoice form, packing slip form, etc.  My issue is that despite the image I use it appears pixelated when I go to print the check, for example.  I've had their graphic design partner send me everything she can think of under the sun in terms of dpi, pixel rate, file size, etc.  I realize Report Writer converts any image used to a bitmap and that the file size is limited to 32k, but I've even tried it with various file formats and sizes to no avail.

This has to be something that's done quite frequently in GP, so what am I missing?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Todd

    RE: Logo in Report Writer

That article is for printing.  I'm on Dynamics 2013 and we pdf everything and STILL to this day, 2013, logos look crappy in Dynamics.  There shouldn't be a formula needed.  If the logo looks great in paint, it should look good in Dynamics.

Have a look at the following KB Article which explains how to prevent the pixelation.

How to prevent the image quality of a graphic from being reduced when you print a graphic from Report Writer in Microsoft Dynamics GP (KB 854470)

Look at http://blogs.msdn.com/developingfordynamicsgp/pages/report-writer-articles.aspx for more links to articles.
