Want to show portal case record for submitter and customer

Posted on by 465

Hi All,

I am using PowerApps portals customer self service portal. I am using CRM views linked with Entity lists to display portal case records.

Suppose I am submitting the case record by selecting a different Customer.

I want to show this record for submitter(for me, in my cases) and for Customer(in my cases) in portal pages.

How can i achieve this.

Regards,

Babu

    Hi partner,

Because you selected that option in entity list, and then portal will only show the records which customer equals current user.

There is no OOB way to meet all your requirement, I recommend you to create custom web template and show the data you want.

    Hi Leo,

    Thanks for your reply.

I tried this, I could able to see cases submitted me as the customer.

If I select customer as other person and if I submit a case it is not showing in my cases. Don't know the reason

    Regards,

    Babu

RE: Want to show portal case record for submitter and customer

    Hi partner,

In default, the customer in portal case form is the current user logined in portal. The intention of portal is to allow customers to submit their own problems to save agents' time.

So in default, the user will only be available to see the cases he submitted. And now in your case, you also need the users to see the cases which customer is the current user. To do this, please follow the below steps.

1.Go to Entity List find your case list.

2.Under General tab, find "Filter Conditions" session, and select "customerid" as portal user attribute.

After that, the user will be able to see the cases which customer is themselves.

    Best Regards,

    Leo
