Hello,

Is there anyway to merge duplicate customer information in RMS and retain the history of both ??

Thanks

Jim

Hi, We are merging customers quite often and have developed an addon to fulfill this purpose. The addon requires access only to the HQ database. Contact me if you're interested. Select "Webmaster" in the type field at www.midweststeel.bz/contact to contact me directly. Regards, Tim

Though Mohammed is correct, some plug-ins could potentiality have bugs, you have several advantages of going through a company that just develops RMS Ad-dins. These include time spent with quality assurance teams, field testing the product with other customers, intimate knowledge of not only SQL and Programming, but RMS and how it works.

I think addons may cause some problems at databases (stores and HQ),

you need SQL freelance that professionally end your problem (also he must knew all information posted at databases for any customer's action).

V.I.P. Zone is an add-on that I've been using for years and it works great. You can see it at: http://digitalretailer.com/rmsaddins/index.htm

    Re: Customer Merge

This is something that would have to be done on a sql level.  If this is something that happens often then you will need a custom addon that would resolve this for you. If this is only for a single customer then you get away with the sql query method, but this is rather involved because of the amount of tables and entries that would need changed.

Jim, Nothing out of the box. If this is something you are interested in, please shoot me an email or give me a call and we can discuss what it would take to make this happen.
