    Hi Qaqa,

Can you specify your scenario in more detail because it is not clear to me.

Where do you want the invoice to be created and where do you expect the ledger posting?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thank you for your message.

I have achieve and tested the out of box integration features between D365 Sales and D365 for Financials, which looks great.

However, our business requirement is as following:

    1. We are looking to raise invoices (recurring and/or ad-hoc) in Dynamics 365 Sales and directly post them into general ledger in Dynamics 365 for Financials.

    2. We are also looking to allow our sales team to create purchase orders from with Dynamics 365 Sales for some of the services on our client's behalf and post them into Dynamics 365 for Financials automatically. (I have sales order process integrated and working but can it also work for vendor/purchase invoices).

Is/are both option(s) available out of the box or do we have use ODATA web-service to invoices into Dynamics 365 for Financials?

Also can we show closed/clear invoices "paid status" from Dynamics 365 for Financials and have status "paid" shown in Dynamics 365 Sales?

    Many Thanks.

    1. When a sales order invoice is generated and posted, then the accounting entry is automatically posted in the general ledger instantaneously. I am assuming the batch transfer rules in general ledger parameters are correctly configured.

    2. Secondly, a Purchase order can be created directly from a Sales order. One the Purchase order is duly processed in AX, then all the relevant accounting entries will be posted automatically in the ledger just like Sales order transactions.

    Hi Qaqa,

I think the way to go is CDS.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-365-integration

Unfortunately, I have not seen D365 Sales and D365 financials integration scenarios.

There is a lot going on about CDS currently and if you need more information probably try to google and/or contact MS directly.

To get started, the Podcast from Fredrik might help www.youtube.com/watch

    Hi Dr Ludwig.

    Thank you for your answer.

This definitely seems an interesting feature.

I will study this in more details.

    Hi/Aoa Sysed,

    Thank you for your answer.

I have managed to solve the first part by creating a custom plugin that reads invoices raised in Dynamics 365 for Sales and then send invoice creation request in Dynamics 365 for Financials.

I will look into your purchase suggestion once get to that stage.

    regards,
