Records found in Snowflake but not in AX export

Hi,

I am new to AX, but I primarily work with Snowflake. I use AX mostly for verification purposes.

I have noticed a discrepancy in the data exported from the Purchline ETA in AX compared to the data in Snowflake (which comes through PurchTable from the Data Lake). There are some records present in Snowflake that are not found in the exported file from AX. This discrepancy is causing a difference in the total amounts between AX and Snowflake.

I have reached out to the IT person in charge of AX, but they suggested there is nothing they can do on their end. I have attached the built-in filters I see on Purchline ETA. I have also applied these filters to my Snowflake query, but the difference still persists.

My question is: Why am I seeing some records in Snowflake that are not in AX? If these records are in Snowflake, they must have been in AX at some point (assuming Snowflake doesn't generate records on its own). Which additional columns should I filter to ensure the data matches?

Thank you.

    Hello,

There's a possibility that a purchase order might not be visible in the UI, but the data will be available in the table 'PurchLine'.

It's possible that the user confirmed the purchase order and then deleted or removed one of the lines. This would prevent the line from appearing in the UI, but it would still be available in the PurchLine table with the IsDeleted flag set to 'yes'. This can be verified in SSMS.

Additionally, these deleted lines won't be exported through data entities(out-of-the-box).

Please let us know if this information is helpful. If not, as Andre mentioned, please provide more details.

    Regards,

    Hi,

I have moved your question to the Dynamics 365 SCM forum as the screenshot indicates that you are not using "AX". The Dynamics AX forum is for older versions whereas the Dynamics 365 forums are for the current cloud-based version.

We don't know what has been set up to get data in Snowflake. Can you provide more information? Are you using full data loads or incremental updates? Please provide some more information before we possibly can help you.
