Connecting a custom storefront to Business Central via REST API

We're building a custom (non-Shopify, self-developed) webshop for a wholesale client running Business Central. We'd like to sync products, prices, inventory, customers and orders between the storefront and Business Central through the standard REST API.

Since this is a B2B/wholesale setup, customer-specific pricing is important: ideally Business Central stays the source of truth for prices (e.g. price lists per customer or customer group) and the storefront retrieves those prices per logged-in customer.

Can anyone confirm this is fully supported via the standard API, and point out any limitations we should be aware of (e.g. custom fields, rate limits, real-time vs scheduled sync, customer-specific pricing)?

Thanks in advance.

Generally, due to the limitations of standard APIs, it is often necessary to customize additional APIs; hopefully, the information below will provide you with some pointers.

Additionally, I’d like to share a solution based on Microsoft Power Pages; I hope it offers you some useful insights.
    Use Power Pages
This requires the user to purchase a Power Pages license. Below is a real-world example provided by Microsoft for your reference. This approach requires redesigning the website UI and demands someone with Power Pages development experience.
