How can I use Application Insights and D365 F&O Telemetry to monitor 502 errors

Is there a way to capture how often the AOS servers are crashing. A number of users have notified us of receiving 502 or 504 errors when trying to log onto D365 F&O. I am trying to determine the cause of the crashes.

    Hi,

This should help, see link below. The article mentions how to setup Application Insights for D365 F&O. I have not done this yet and therefore cannot comment much about it. In case you are not aware, there is some logging information available for each environment in LCS.

I should have mentioned that we have already enabled the Telemetry and it is streaming to Azure Application Insights.  What isn't so obvious is  the KQL query I need to use to find the AOS crashes. I have a sneaky suspicion it isn't capturing this type of exception. However Microsoft themselves are able to find this information when I raise a Support ticket.

    Hi Data Chappie,

Not all telemetry is currently sent to Application Insights. Microsoft is moving more and more LCS environment monitoring features to Application Insights. I'm not sure what exact errors are moved already. At least, using LCS environment monitoring, you can see activity for the SQL and AOS workloads.
