Posted on by 105

Dear All,

I have MPOS installed and working with the Online database.   Setup is also done for the offline database option. The offline database name is available. In the SQL server, I have seen a database created,

If I want to connect offline, by switch option it is giving error 'you cant not switch to the offline mode. either the offline components are not installed or login failed. try to login again'

Please help me

Warm regards

    Hi Murthy,

You might have to enable the Offline toggle in the registers form as shown below.

    pastedimage1674148068736v1.png

And run 1090 Job for changes to get applied.

    Hi

    1. I am uninstalling and deleting database 'RetailOfflineDatabase' also

    2. also downloaded from LCS asset ;libraries  along with regular HQ version but both are same in size.

    3. given all SQL roles to current Windows user on the PC

Do need to give more permissions to 'sa' user'??

    Warm regards

As per the log, the creation of [crt].[RETAILOFFLINEPRODUCTSBYCHANNELVIEW] is failing as RETAILOFFLINEPROFILESETTINGSBYCHANNEL object doesn't exist. Are you doing a fresh installation of the offline database? If the offline DB already existed, try deleting the DB and running the installer again. If you are using an old installer, you could try the latest version as well.  If the issue still persists, please raise a ticket with MS.

If the download session still shows available, it means the data is not downloaded yet. Can you check the event viewer for any messages related to data sync in Modern POS? As sited in the previous comment, make sure that the windows user account has all the required access to read and write into the SQL database. You can start diagnosing the issue by providing sysadmin access to your windows account on MS SQL instance.

You should be able to see the offline database names in the "Channel Database" screen in D365 FNO. Send a full sync of 9999 to the offline database. Please keep the MPOS/Store Commerce app open so that the system can download the jobs.

Use the "Database Connection Status" operation in POS to check if the jobs are getting applied. If you don't see any jobs there, click "Sync Data" to force the POS to check for new jobs.

Note: Azure AD sign-in is not supported in offline. Make sure that you are using a user ID and password combination. Also make sure that the windows account you are logged in with has access on the SQL offline database.
