I was installing service pack KB3164588 on a GP2013 at version level 12.00.1745(R2). This would have brought GP2013 up to lever 12.00.2104 so I can convert to GP2016. Worked perfectly on test box. When I tried to install the service pack on production, I got this error " Dec.Dic version 12.00.0311.00 is not compatible with executable version 12.00.0323.00" I found an article by Jonathan Fear to rename the file and run Repair. I tried to rename the file but got another error message " Cannot rename the file since its open in DPS.exe" What the heck is DPS and does it have too be running
