Your titlle seems to indicate that you have a Warehouse Management concern. You have two questions: One about how to manage material in two different warehouses and the other about purchasing for two warehouses. And the title seems to indicate that your are working with warehouse management
The answer(s) for first question could is difficult to answer without knowing more about the warehouses and how material is consumed. An answer addressing all the possibilities would be several pages long.
For purchasing for different wrehouses, you could have different PO lines for different warehouses but I would advise against it for the following reason:
- Delivery address: There is one one delivery address on the printed PO confirmation (from the header), so you will need to modify the SSRS to display the different warehouse delivery addresses for your vendor;
- Receiving with Mobile device: If the PO is received with the mobile, the warehouse worker needs to enter the PO number followed by item number. If the same item is ordered on seperate lines for different warehouses, the system will try to receive the <ordered> item and may give you a <you are in the wrong warehouse> error message.
Your purchasers may prefer to buy larger quantities to benefit from lower prices, so you may want to buy in a single warehouse and distribute to the other warehouses by means of transfer orders or warehouse transfers (with mobile device).
