User Personalizations disappear after deployment - need to know how to fix this issue

How do we save and reimplement the user Personalizations during the deployment process for AX 2012 R3?  The last deployment we did, removed/overwrote all the users's form personalizations.

    Will this approach work if the deployment is for modification of the forms that have been personalized?  I ask this because:  "object numbers in stead of names are saved in the personalization"
